Baby Drop Off Box

I read this article on inventorspot.com and was intrigued and slightly disturbed with this article on unwanted baby drop off. This hospital, Stork's Cradle, at Kumamoto's Jikei Hospital is situated in Japan and not in China.
I believe there are many different opinions on this, but I somewhat agree that its a better fate for the babies from unwanted pregnancies or many other reasons.
