Trail of Chestnuts

I like chestnuts but ignorant me dont know how the tree looks like or how their shells look like. There are many chestnut trees around the mountain we climbed and my husband indulgently taught me a little about it.



Lesson 1: You use something other than your bare hand to shook the chestnuts from the tree
Lesson 2: Again, you dont use your bare fingers to open the the chestnuts. Instead you can use your shoes to wedge the chestnut open and take them out.

These prickly little things have something inside I like... You can steam them or heat them up in hot wok.
